Trans-Siberian railway Tour from Ekaterinburg

Ekaterinburg-Tyumen-Abakan-Sayanogorsk-Kyzyl-Krasnoyarsk-Vladivostok (the route can be changed)

Day 1 (Saturday)


Meeting at the airport in the morning.

A city tour in Ekaterinburg (historical square, memorial Black Tulip, old mansions, constructivist buildings, monuments to Boris Yeltsin and to Marshall Zhukov)

Viewing platform of the Vysotsky Business Center (52nd floor) You will see the whole city with a 1.5 million population and the Ural mountains on sunny days.


The memorial to the victims of political repressions on the 12th km of the New Moscow Road.

A stop at the border of Europe and Asia. You’ll be given certificates about crossing the border in English or French

Excursion at the monastery Ganina Yama (the first burial place of the last Russian Tsar’s family) 23km outside Ekaterinburg.

Day 2 (Sunday)

08.00 – Departure to Nevyansk

10.30 – 12.00 – Excursion to the Leaning Tower of the famous factory owners in the Urals the Demidovs. One of the Demidovs opened the first museum of Napoleon on the Elba river. He was married to the niece of Napoleon Mathilde Bonaparte. In Florence, Italy there is a monument to Nickolas Demidov and a square named after him Piazza Demidov. The Demidovs were one of the most famous dynasty in Russia in the 18-19th centuries.


12.00 – 14.00 – Excursion to the pottery village Nizhniye Tavolgi. At the work shop of the Maslikovs’ pottery every guest will be able to make a clay souvenir.

14.00 -  15.00 – Lunch at the pottery in a wooden house, traditional Russian cuisine is served in clay pots

15.00 – 16.00 -  Departure to the ski resort Belaya Mount. One of the best in the Urals.



16.00 – 17.00 – Climbing Belaya Mt in a chair lift (takes 10min to get to the top) From the summit you will have a stunning view of taiga forests and Siberia.

17.00 – 20.00 – Returning to Ekaterinburg

Day 3 (Monday)

08.00 – Departure to Tyumen

09.30 – 10.00 – A stop at the largest asbestos mines of the world (its length is 11.5km, width 2-3km, depth 350meters)

10.00 –11.00 –  A stop at the only one in Russia emerald deposit

11.00 – 13.00 – An excursion at the stone-cutting workshop. Here you can cut and polish stones (agates, crystals, jasper, rodonite, malachite) to make a fridge magnet or another souvenir. The Ural Region is a rich geological area. It’s hard to find such a variety of minerals somewhere else in the world.

13.00 – 14.00 – Lunch

14.00 – 19.00 – Transfer to Tymen, checking at the hotel


Day 4 (Tuesday)

08.00 – 10.00 – Theatrical excursion in Tymen “The history of Siberia in wooden architecture”. The excursion was certified by UNESCO. The guide is dressed as a merchant’s wife of the 19th century. Excursion at the St. trinity Monastery.

10.00 – 11.00 – A restoration workshop of the Shitovs of wooden carving.


11.00 – 12.00 – early lunch

12.26 – Transfer to Abakan


Day 5 (Wednesday)

A day in a train


Day 6 (Thursday)

at 06.00 – Arrival in Abakan, meeting with the local guide

6:30 Departure to the Hydroelectric Power Station

8:00 Lunch on the way to Sayanogorsk. Sayano-Sushenskaya Hydroelectric Power Station is the most powerful in Russia. It’s located on the Yenisey river in the village of Cheremushki near the town of Sayanogorsk. It’s named the safest dam in the world. It’s 245m. high, 1070m. long. The dam forms a water reservoir of 621 square km. The crystal clear water gets into the reservoir from the dam and makes it possible to keep trout farms nearby. At the trout farm you’ll be able to buy fresh fish


12.00 – 14.00 – Excursion at the Siberian village – an open air museum of wooden architecture of the 18-19th century.

Visiting a workshop of a bondar – a craftsman who makes wooden kegs using traditional technologies and tools.

Shushenskoye has the Museum of Vladimir Lenin. The museum tells about Lenin in Siberian exile.

В 15:00 Departure to Kyzyl

16.00 – 20.00 – On the way to Kyzyl, the main city of Tuva you will go through the ‘Hundredth Pass’. The pass is 2214m high above the sea level. It’s located on the border of Khakasiaya and Tuva.

Day 7 (Friday)

Lunch at the hotel

09.00 – A city tour in Kyzyl, a stop at the monument ‘Center of Asia’, an excursion in the National Museum (Scythians’ gold), a Buddhist monastery Tsechenling


Lunch (local food)

The Center of Tuva culture and crafts. Here the local craftsmen will show you how they make musical instruments, jewelry and shaman’s tambourines.

An esoteric excursion with a visit of a shaman.



Day 8 (Saturday)

Breakfast at the hotel

09.00 – Tuva Yurta center and a concert of throat singing



15:00 Departure to the National Park Yergaki

19:00 Checking in at the hotel in the park. Dinner



Day 9 (Sunday)


Trekking along the Siberian Hunter’s Trail (3km)

The eco trail leads to the world of local people who were hunters and caught fury animals. The tourists will learn about hunting traditions of the early 20th century and enjoy a picturesque scenery. You will start from the Museum of a Siberian Hunter that tells about hunting in the region. Then following the trail you will see the equipment for catching animals and mechanisms used by hunters. The first part of the trail goes through a mountain-taiga area. Then the landscape changes for the mountain meadows – the place of pastures for the ungulates and bears. Here you will see hoof-prints and trails of the animals. In the middle of the trail there is a winter house of a hunter and a fireplace outside with wooden benches built in a shape of a horse shoe for good luck. At the end the tourists will see the taiga giant – a Siberian cedar tree.

Day 10 (Monday)

06.26 – Arrival in Krasnoyarsk


08.00 – 12.00 – City tour, a transfer to the ski resort Beaver’s Valley. Getting to the viewing platform in a chair lift.


12.00 – 13.00 – Lunch

Checking in at the hotel, free time

02.03 – Departure to Vladivostok (4 days in a train)

09.00 – Tour to Russkiy Island with the Museum ‘Russian Battalion’

In the history of Russian Far East Vladivostok played an important role as a military base, a trading port and the last stop on the Great Trans-Siberian railway. The Military fortress helped the city’s development in safe conditions in the 19-20th century. Nowadays over 100 pieces of the fortress on Russkiy Island and Muravyev-Amursky peninsula are the national heritage of Russia. The canons each of 1200 tons still look impressive: the caliber 305mm, each canon ball weighs 470kg, shooting length up to 35 km. All the mechanisms were hidden underground at the depth of 25meters. Indeed, it’s an incredible fortress-museum.
